A customer experienced poor application performance due to growing data sets, with 50 GB of new data every month. Due to limitations in older technology, in this case, a MySQL database, it became a nightmare to manage. We helped this customer to convert their traditional MySQL data warehouse to a managed AWS Aurora database which resulted in a 20% performance throughput and less management needed. The solution also added security with data encrypted at rest and over the network. In addition to this, a cost-effective cross-continent Disaster Recovery solution was implemented, guaranteeing minimal downtime and data loss.
